Many people ask us for a basic description of the Wright Redux Association 1903 Wright Flyer project and what it is designed to do. The following is a summary of what the project is all about.|

The Museum of Science and Industry Chicago (MSI), Chicago, Illinois
This group will cooperate in the construction and flying of a replica of the 1903 Wright Flyer.
Building is set to start immediately in Glen Ellyn, using the same time frame employed by the Wrights in 1903 (Approximately 1 year)…Objective is to build and fly the machine for the 100th anniversary on December 17, 2003.
The plane is being built in Glen Ellyn at Miller Woodworking.
The initial flying will take place in DuPage County.
The official observance flight will take place on the lawn of the MSI, December 17, 2003.
This project is designed to honor the 100th anniversary of the first heavier-than-air, controlled flight.
WRA, with support & resources of the MSI and Packer Engineering, is raising private funds to build and fly the 1903 Wright Flyer.
Once flown, the machine will be hung in the MSI Great Hall.
